On the variant cover of Volume 34, the Berserker and the Falcon of Light are shown with their backs to one another, swords in hand. From this single image, which quietly conveys the fateful ties between them, Guts has once again been realized in 1/4 scale. Preserving the presence established in the 1/6 scale version, the sculpting and paintwork have been further refined to take advantage of the larger format.
A beastlike pose, his body held low. The Berserker Armor shaped by complex curves and fine hairline detailing. The Dragon Slayer, its pale blue blade scarred by countless battles. And his expression emerging from the billowing cape. Across the piece, the density of detail and the contrast between light and shadow have been refined to more closely capture the nuances of the original artwork. The original-design themed base is rendered with greater definition as well, with countless swords and skulls evoking Guts' story.
